How will XtreamerPro GUI look like?

12 reasons to buy the XTreamerPro

(1) The Xtreamer (both Pro and the current model) supports VP6 Codec and therefore allows HD streaming Internet IPTV from various predefined and custom RSS sources.

(2) The Xtreamer will support unique connectivity to bluetooth and dedicated high quality wireless headsets specially designed for xtreamer FW and HW.

(3) The XtreamerPro has a unique dedicated NAS

A Network Access Server (NAS) is a single point of access to a remote resource.
The NAS is meant to act as a gateway to guard access to a protected resource. This can be anything from a telephone network, to printers, to the Internet.

Most RTL based device dont have it as it is not part of the SDK.

Will the XtreamerPro be based on the same chipset as the current model?

Yes. We based the new player on the same RTL 1283XX chipset (a slightly modified version) that will allow you the freedom of the latest HD formats and codecs. Both devices - Xtreamer 2,5" and Pro model - will run very similar firmware and we are fully committed to provide development updates, fixes and new features to all our customers.

Over the last year we have managed to become very familiar with this platform and now it allows us to introduce even more capable device in very attractive price.

While actively seeking a most modern SoC based solution, we did not identify any apparent advantage of an alternative chipset available in the market nor we found any reason to add at this point the Blu Ray drive capabilities since it would mean relatively high costs of licensing to the Xtreamer MSRP.

Changing platform to another SoC (by Sigma or Broadcom) would have resulted in starting all over the bug fixing process with no significant advantage or benefit. We found rather these platforms requiring more memory and more expensive component list to perform nearly the same way as the 1283 series.
